Who, Me?

My name is Cil Cheung, and I was born in the year of the Rooster.

I was born in Canada and spent one third of my life in Winnipeg, Manitoba, one third in Vancouver, BC, and the last bit in Calgary, Alberta.

I speak Cantonese relatively fluently with a bit of a typical Canadian accent, but I speak, read and write English very well.

I spent three years in the animation program at ECIAD, in Vancouver. Unfortunately I was unable to finish the degree due to family issues, and had to return to Calgary in 2004. Recently I've graduated with a BFA from the University of Calgary, with a focus on Developmental Arts, which is a big fancy name for Art Teacher.

My interests tend to reside with drawing, art, animation, video games, roleplaying games, the internet, martial arts, stunting, travelling, writing, poetry, psychology, world history, and obscure western esoterica.

Right now I'm really trying to get into the gaming industry, where my interests have lain since high school. Ideally I'd love to do concept art, but it's really the storytelling that grabs my attention. I've done a bit of webdesign work in the past as well, using Notepad, Photoshop, and nothing else. I love working with graphics programs and frankly it's where I'm most at home.
